Sharia and Obama’s Foreign Policy

By Wendy Wright

A Christian woman who gave water to Muslim fieldworkers was accused by the women of blaspheming Muhammed. The women refused the water, claiming it was unclean because a Christian carried it. Asia Bibi, a mother of five, merely explained her faith. For that, she has been in prison for over fifteen months and has been sentenced to be hanged, according to The Telegraph.

Ashiq Masih, her husband, said, “I haven’t told two of my younger daughters about the court’s decision. … They asked me many times about their mother, but I can’t get the courage to tell them that the judge has sentenced their mother to capital punishment for a crime she never committed.”

Pakistan outlaws blasphemy against Islam. It is punishable by death. Religious minorities are targeted for accusations, and while most are acquitted, they are oftentimes killed by mobs.

Last week, the U.N. again voted for a resolution against “defamation of religions” or “vilification of religions” as a violation of human rights. It’s been called a global anti-blasphemy law, and it changes the concept of human rights from protecting people from persecution to condemning criticism of (a particular) religion. This nonbinding resolution, altered slightly this year, has passed every year since 2005 against the objection of the U.S. While Christianity formed the basis of the Western world’s embrace of freedom of speech, religion, and conscience, this resolution would legitimize the Islamic prohibition against non-Muslim beliefs.

The United States joins in all nations coming together to condemn hateful speech, but we do not support the banning of that speech,” said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  “Indeed, freedom of speech and freedom of religion emanate from the same fundamental belief that communities and individuals are enriched and strengthened by diversity of ideas, and attempts to stifle them or drive them underground, even when it is in the name and with the intention of protecting society, have the opposite effect.

In Iran, a Muslim widow accused of adultery is sentenced to be stoned to death. When international activists and government leaders condemned the sentence and questioned the legitimacy of the Islamic-based trial, Iran released a supposed confession from the woman.

Sakineh Ashtiani drew international attention when her son alerted the outside world to her plight. The son and Sakineh’s lawyer have since been arrested, and two German men who sought to interview her son have been detained in Iran.

The Washington Times reports that Iranian state television broadcast an interview of Sakineh saying, “I am a sinner.” Her face was blurred, and her words, spoken in a regional language, were translated into Farsi. Statements purportedly from her son, lawyer, and the German journalists were also broadcast.

In the tape, Sakineh’s son retracted his previous statements that Sakineh was tortured and criticized Sakineh’s lawyers, one of whom has fled the country and received asylum in Europe for publicizing the case. The journalists accused a female activist in Europe of hiring them, and one said he would file a complaint against her.

Sanctions against Iran for its nuclear ambitions are taking a toll, and Iran initially appeared to relent from the harsh stoning sentence as international moral criticism mounted on top of the economic punishment. But this latest round of arrests and public “confessions” shows Tehran ratcheting up the tension between itself and Western countries.

Ironically, the “confessions” came the same week that the U.S. Senate held hearings on the ineffective U.N. women’s treaty called CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women). Radical feminists and the Obama administration are pressuring the Senate to ratify CEDAW, calling it a priority in order for the U.S. to gain credibility in the international world on women’s rights.

Melanie Verveer, Obama’s ambassador on global women’s issues, and other supporters stated that errant countries which have adopted CEDAW (like Iran) would be more likely to follow the treaty if the U.S. ratified it.

Concerned Women for America submitted testimony to the Senate pointing out that nations which are the worst abusers of women are also anti-American. They are not likely to change their ways because the U.S. adopts a treaty. And if the U.S. ratifies CEDAW, we would be subject to the U.N. committee that oversees its implementation. Representatives from countries that adopt CEDAW — like Iran — can sit on the committee.

To get an idea of how the CEDAW Committee has already operated, it has criticized countries for allowing Christian beliefs to influence policy and cultures. Christianity, the essential foundation for freedom of belief, speech, and religion, is frowned upon by both radical feminists and Islamists.

The Obama administration has great admiration for international law and believes that subjecting the U.S. to other countries’ opinions will make us moral and accountable. Yet it seems unaware that its attempt to place America under the authority of international opinion and “law” jeopardizes our Christian-based liberties and freedom from Shariah-inspired tyranny.

In a recent article, “Stonings and Nuclear Weapons,” I wrote, “If we want to see what America’s enemies — Islamist radicals — have in store for us if we don’t stop them, look at Sakineh. Would we want shariah law allowed, in any form, in America?”

We can add Asia Bibi and the thousands, if not millions, of Christians and women who have suffered at the hands of Islamic radicals. President Obama and Secretary Clinton should think twice about subjecting America to international law and bodies where the U.S. is easily outvoted or unrepresented.

Iran’s Muslim neighbors exhort America to attack nuke sites

Rick Moran

Laura Rozen wisely points out that most of the statements attributed to US policy makers in the Wikileak docs follow closely the public statements made by officials regarding Iran.

The one big surprise is in the attitude of Saudi Arabia and other frontline states who devoutly wish the US would use military force to deal with the Iranian nuclear program:

Saudi King Abdullah has “frequently exhorted the U.S. to attack Iran to put an end to its nuclear weapons programme,” the Guardian cited one U.S. cable.

“He told you [Americans] to cut off the head of the snake,” said Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi ambassador to Washington, according to a report on Abdullah’s meeting with Gen. David Petraeus in April 2008.

While senior Saudi Arabian officials have publicly expressed skepticism that international sanctions would be sufficient to curtail Iran’s nuclear program and its alleged efforts to destabilize regional states, they have mostly refrained from publicly calling for military action against Iran – although such views have been described as having been privately expressed to senior American officials by the Saudis and other Arab states, Washington Iran watchers have said.

“Sanctions are a long-term solution” for Iran’s nuclear program, Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al Faisal said in a joint news conference with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Riyadh in February 2010. “But we see the issue in the shorter term.”

Kind of puts the kibosh on leftist sympathizers with Iran in this country who claim loudly and often that the mullahs are no threat to the US or our interests.

Did You Know Israel Created Radical Islam?

By James Lewis

Did you know that Israel provoked Muslims to crash airplanes into the Twin Towers on 9/11 and to blow up the London Underground?

No? That’s weird, because Lady Jenny Tong says it’s true. Lady Tong is described in The Jerusalem Post as “a lifelong anti-Israel activist.”

She says, “I feel sorry for the people of Israel sometimes. Their government’s policies have made that country the cause of a lot of the world’s problems, yet now they are seen in the middle as the remedy and the base for the West to fight back.”

Lady Tong is a top Liberal Democrat in the U.K. with a lifetime appointment in the House of Lords, so she has to know what she is talking about.

Let’s see…Israel declared its independence from Britain in 1948, the same year Jordan, India, and Pakistan declared their own independence from the British Empire.

Yet nobody seems to blame those fine countries for terrorist killings in Gaza or Kashmir or Mumbai. Or the assassination of Pakistani President Benazir Bhutto in 2007.

But the Israelis made the Muslims really mad by seizing Jerusalem from the Religion of Peace in 1948 or 1968, something like that.

Whatever. This is all so last century.

Well, actually, radical Muslims invaded Spain in the year 711, killing merrily as they went along. They were really, really mad even then, because Europe was full of infidels, and Allah told them the Christians had to surrender to the Faithful or it’s off with their heads. All that is in the Quran, and that’s the infallible word of Allah, by way of Mohammed’s dream diaries.

Boy, were those radical Muslims ever angry back in 711. You should have heard the imams stirring them up in their Friday sermons.

So it’s only logical that Israel time-traveled back 1,250 years and got the Berbers so mad that they all invaded Spain from North Africa.

Got that?

Plus, around the same time, millions of Muslims head-chopped their way all over Arabia, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Persia, the Byzantine Empire, Afghanistan, and half of India.

This was all on the way to knocking over mostly Christian Spain and creating the fabled land of Andalus, a realm of peace and love and justice and tolerance.

You can read all about the peace-loving Saracens in the Song of Roland from back in the 12th century.

Oh, that was when they invaded France, I guess. Well, France is close enough to Spain. I think.

Sort of.

Boy, those Muslims were really, really mad, all because of what Israel did to them in 1948.

Do you get the feeling that Ms. Tong’s grasp of world history is a trifle foggy?

This Lady is a lifelong senior member of the Liberal Democratic Party. She is the crème de la crème of Britain’s parliamentary elite. But she is hardly the only one to blame Israel for the sins of 1,400 years of Islamic aggression and imperialism. In her circle of friends, it’s all the rage. Literally. Nobody bothers to disagree.

This just shows you the standard of intellect that now prevails all over in London town. The whole European culture has gone the way of Global Warming. Get the suckers to fall for that and they will fall for anything. And they do.

Think of Lady Tong as Britain’s Nancy Pelosi: San Francisco Airhead Sisterhood, London branch, just had a little too much Botox injected last month. That stuff spreads, you know. It doesn’t just stay where you inject it. Botulinim toxin — you get it from germs, the stuff that causes food poisoning. Botox can kill you, but first it rots your brains.

Botox explains a lot of what we hear from the international Left. Does George Soros get Botox treatments before he smokes Mary Jane?

Just askin’.

In Ms. Tong’s mind, those wicked Israelis made the radical Muslims upset by occupying Jerusalem, which truly belonged to the Muslims because Mohammed rose on his flying horse Buraq from the Mosque of Omar when he died.

…in 1948. Or something.

That story is not exactly in the Quran, but it’s an honest-to-gosh tradition. Everybody knows it, and it gives a billion Muslims the right to occupy Jerusalem and kick out all the Catholics, the Coptic Christians, the Bulgarian Orthodox, and the Armenians, and also to tear down the Second Temple built there in the 5th century BC. And obviously toss out a million Israelis who think they live there. Lady Tong has been saying it all her life.

Because ethnic cleansing is okay in some places. Not in the Balkans, where Bill Clinton started bombing because the Europeans were so upset by ethnic cleansing in former Yugoslavia. But the Middle East is a different place.

Israelis are imperialist swine. Not the Jews, of course, because Lady Tong can’t be an anti-Semite. No, she just hates Israelis. Not the Jews. Don’t forget that, because all the trouble started in 1948 when Israel declared its independence. Or maybe 1968.

Whatever you believe, Muslims certainly were peaceful before Israel made them mad. That’s why they are called the Religion of Peace. “Islam” means “peace,” they say. Well, okay, it means “peace after you surrender” to Allah’s nearest official representative on earth. Or lose your head.

Any lefty airhead will tell you that the Israelis really made the Muslims mad, and it’s all about Western Imperialism.

So there. Obama really hates Western Imperialism, too. That’s why he bows to His Royal Highness, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the Protector of the Holy Cities of Islam.

Lady Tong is socialist Britain’s version of Queen Victoria, who refused to sign a parliamentary law against lesbian sex because she couldn’t believe such a thing existed.

Today, Obama would just send her some DVDs to show her how it’s done. That’s why he gave that iPod with his own speeches to the queen. (The one in Buckingham Palace.)

Lady’s Tong’s ignorance is not zero. It is less than zero, just as Queen Victoria’s ignorance of lesbian sex was not just an absence of knowledge. This kind ignorance takes a lot of hard work. It is a willful act of selective ignorance.

You really have to work hard to unlearn this much history.

Like gay sex for Victoria, Israel and Islam exist in deliberately excavated holes in the mind of the Left. It’s the same memory hole where they keep the United States of America. Israel and America are just imperialistic, hegemonic pig powers — not like the enlightened rulers of China, Vietnam, and the old Soviet Union. Read Thomas Friedman in the New York Times, and that’s what you find out. Know your enemy.

Vast, selective, and malignant ignorance is now a major British export. The global warming fraud was, if not invented, at least whipped up and fed with combustible materials by formerly respectable scientific institutions in Britain, such as the Royal Society. The BBC sells its selective and blind ideology to the New York Times like carbon credits. The Left simply takes what doesn’t exist, makes the suckers feel guilty about breathing out CO2, makes up a sin tax for it, and sells the rights to sin at a nice profit to the Americans. That’s how the Chicago Carbon Exchange was supposed to work before the investors figured out the scam.

This also exactly how Green jobs work, and Green cars, and Green sin  credits. You sell Green delusions for a trillion Greenbacks.

Ms. Tong just has a Green brain. It’s full of open Green spaces, like the Chicago Carbon Exchange. If Al Gore is selling it, she’s buying.

Apparently under the new British educational system, Lady Tong has never heard of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH!), who lived in the Arabian desert in the sixth century. Mohammed was a famous genocider, killer, desert pirate, serial rapist, and a proud child molester. That was some time before Israel declared its independence in 1948, but the Jews made him mad even then, because the Quraisha tribe refused to convert to Muhammad’s new religion. So he killed six to nine hundred of them and sold the women and children into slavery. After the usual, I suppose. Lady Tong would understand.

In her mind, Mohammed was just the holy founder of the Religion of Peace, and Israel is to blame for the folks who blew up the London Underground in 2007. And the Twin Towers in 2001.

Listen: Jenny Tong has lifetime tenure in the House of Lords, paid for by the British taxpayer. She is beloved by all right-thinking Liberal Democrats. She’s got to be doing something right.

Just tell her not to swallow any more Botox, please.

The Unholy U.S./Muslim Alliance

By Ted Belman

Avi Lipkin, a Jew, in his book, Israel’s Bible Bloc, explained how he came to embrace Christians as Israel’s best friend.

In 1991, as the IDF spokesperson, Lipkin was invited to speak to the Dallas Council on World Affairs. They were part of the famous or infamous Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He writes,

These are the people who control the economy of the US and the World. These are faceless people who decide who the President of the United States will be as well as leaders of other countries. They control the banks corporations and oil companies that control the world.

The CFR includes among its members the power elites in both the Democrat and Republican parties, including also most presidential nominees. They support world government and globalization. They are building a modern-day Tower of Babel which denies American sovereignty and the supremacy of God from which our inalienable rights come in favor of a secular socialist utopia. President Obama is a member of CFR.

Lipkin spoke eloquently on how Israel had already returned 93% of the conquered land and on Israel’s need to keep the rest. Afterward, he was invited into the “woodshed” with about twenty members of the Council so that they could teach him a lesson.

You are a great IDF spokesman but you don’t know the realities. We here of the Dallas Council on World Affairs, are going to teach you realities.

First reality: America is tired of paying for your wars.  Israel is going to make peace with the Palestinians whether it likes it or not. We don’t care if you have already handed over to the Arabs side 93% of the land you took in your wars.  You are going to hand over not 93%, or 97% but 100% and more!  You Israelis are all alone. And we don’t even care about the UN Resolutions 242 and 338 calling for new borders which are recognizable and defensible.

Second reality. There is only one thing that made America great: the barrel of oil – the steady price of oil the steady supply of oil.  Is that clear?
To which Lipkin replied, after he picked himself up off the floor,

You know, we Jews never came in the way of America’s oil supplies.  In fact we paid for your oil supplies with 6 million of our people in WWII.  When the Arabs and their oil snapped the whip in the 1930’s and 1940’s, the U.S. and Britain decided not to give the Jews seeking to flee from Nazi Europe, visas to Palestine, England, the western hemisphere or whatever. It is true that Hitler and the Nazis physically killed the Jews, but the decision to industrially kill all the Jews was only taken in January 1942 at the Wannese Conference in Berlin because there were then over 7 million Jews holed up in the ghettos behind Whermacht lines and the world would not grant the Jews asylum. So we Jews were massacred so as not to get in the way of Arab oil. Breckenridge Long, US Under-Secretary of State for visas, made sure to it that no Jews would get visas to get into the US, Canada and Cuba.

And now you mean to say that it is going to happen again? You guys are going to sacrifice 5 million more Jews in Israel for the barrel of oil?
They answered in the affirmative, which meant they were prepared for a second holocaust.

What made Lipkin appreciate Evangelical Christians as Israel’s friend was that in response to these dire threats and warnings, two Christians who were with Lipkin in the room and not members of the Council boldly stood up and said to them, one after the other, “You call yourself Christians? You say that what made America great was a barrel of oil? You should be ashamed of yourselves. What made America great was not a barrel of oil.  What made America great was Jesus Christ. … Besides, it says in the Bible that those who bless Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed.”

History bears their threats out.

The State Department was against the creation of Israel before its birth, forced Israel to retreat from the Sinai after she conquered it in ’56, and maintained an arms embargo on Israel throughout the War of Independence, ending only after the ’67 war. The State Department negotiated UNSC Res. 242 at the end of the war, which allowed Israel to remain in occupation until she had an agreement for “secure and recognized borders.” But the Arabs refused to accept it. So two years later, the U.S. came up with the Rogers Plan, which required full retreat to the ’49 armistice line.

In 1974, President Richard Nixon told Syrian president Hafez al-Assad that Washington was committed to seeing an “Israeli withdrawal from all the occupied territories.”

A year later, Henry Kissinger met with Sadun Hammadi, Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs. A transcript of this meeting has been published which discloses Kissinger’s attempts to assuage the concerns of Hammadi.

Kissinger: “We don’t need Israel for influence in the Arab world. On the contrary, Israel does us more harm than good in the Arab world

“We can’t negotiate about the existence of Israel but we can reduce its size to historical proportions.”

Aide: “Your Excellency, do you think a settlement would come through the Palestinians in the area?” […]

Kissinger: “I think the Palestinian identity has to be recognized in some form. But we need the thoughtful cooperation of the Arabs.”
Thereafter, the U.S., at first surreptitiously and then openly, backed the PLO. She saved them from Israel’s coup de gras in Beirut and enabled them to be welcomed in the United Nations and in the U.S.

The U.S. forced Israel to participate in the Madrid Conference in 1991 and insisted that Jerusalem be put on the table and that the PLO be included in the Palestinian delegation. All this pressure resulted in the Oslo Accords in 1993 and the reentry into Israel of her mortal enemy, the PLO, headed by Arafat. Remember how sick Rabin looked when he was forced to shake the hand of the arch-murderer Arafat on the White House lawn under the auspices of the smiling President Clinton?

Oslo ran its course and was superseded by the Roadmap in 2003. This Roadmap replaced Res. 242 with the Arab Initiative, which included the Rogers Plan, just as the Dallas Council had underlined.

While the U.S. maintains that the final agreement had to be negotiated between the parties, the U.S. puts a “gun” to Israel’s head during negotiations. The peace process is all about reaching an agreement predetermined by the Saudi/U.S. alliance.

If you think this is an anti-Semitic thing, it is not. It is about money and world domination.

Mordechai Nisan recently wrote that the U.S. has long sided with the Arab world. He pointed out that the U.S. has supported the Muslims in the Balkans, in Cyprus, in Somalia, and in Lebanon at the expense of the Christians. The U.S. also turns a blind eye to the killing of Christians in Egypt and in Iraq, and to discrimination against Christians in Saudi Arabia, and in the territories under the rule of the PA.

The U.S. brought Turkey into NATO and backs her inclusion in the EU. The U.S. has also maintained an alliance with Pakistan for many decades. The U.S. arms Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the PA. Now she is also arming the Lebanese army, which is controlled by Hezb’allah. Who else but Israel is the target?

Avi Lipkin adds to this list by informing that “[i]n Indonesia, over a half a million Chinese  were slaughtered in the sixties by the Moslems and the word remained silent. In 1975, the Indonesian army marched into East Timor and 300,000 Catholics were slaughtered.” This is the same Indonesia that President Obama recently praised so much. And let us not forget that the Turkish Muslims slaughtered one and a half million Christian Armenians during WWI, to little Western condemnation. This silence gave Hitler confidence twenty years later that he could slaughter the Jews.

Recently, Turkey turned Islamist and aligned itself with Iran, Hezb’allah, and Hamas, but still President Obama stands by Turkey.

President Obama’s much-pursued Muslim outreach merely makes public what has been a covert reality for American policy for a hundred years.

The Islamic countries can do no wrong. They have all the oil and money. Israel can do no right. They are a pain in the globalist’s butt.

You need not wonder anymore why the U.S. embraces CAIR, invites Muslim immigration, integrates Muslims into the government, has sensitivity training for members of the FBI, and calls Islam a religion of peace, notwithstanding 9/11. Or why the U.S. permits the radicalization of most of the mosques in America by Saudi Arabia, its Muslim partner.

The establishment in America embraces the U.N., the International Court of Justice, and other international bodies. Plans are underway to create a North American Common Market including Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. All of these things and many more international initiatives require the relinquishment of U.S. sovereignty. But that’s okay. The establishment prefers globalization and the New World Order.

Islam also denies sovereignty and democracy in favor of a world Caliphate ruled by Sharia Law. Thus, the globalists and Islam make good bedfellows. Just as the Roman Empire co-opted the Catholic Church to control the people, so the globalists employ Islam.

Avi Lipkin understands this. He is advocating for an alliance between Israel and the Evangelical Christians as a bulwark to the plans of the unholy American/Muslim alliance. Only with such an alliance can America and Israel, as we know them, be saved.

Ted Belman is a retired lawyer and the Editor of Israpundit. He made aliya from Canada last year and now lives in Jerusalem, Israel.
